Essay

The problems of magnetometric methods use in the prospecting of ore deposits have been studied. Among them the magnetic rigidity is the most essential and correlates positively with the Koenigsberger's factor. High gradients of magnetic field are other characteristic trait of ore zones. Physicochemical base of the proposed prospecting criteria of ore-bearing have been shown. The genesis of ores are characterized by essential nonequilibrium of oxidation-reduction situation which enables nonstoichiometric magnetite forming, as well as forming of other magnetorigid minerals. Barren rocks are formed in equilibrium environment and contain magnetite, which is close to stoichiometric state and is soft magnetic one. The scientific basement for probable ore-bearing regions detection has been proposed
