Bratsiun V. Labor migration of citizens of Ukraine to Russian Federation in 1991-2010 years

The object of the research – labor migration of citizens of Ukraine to Russian Federation (RF). The dissertation purpose: study of process of labor migration of citizens of Ukraine to RF, definition of their legal status, features of life and work, mutual relation with an accepting society. The methods: hermeneutic, analysis, synthesis, generalization, description; historical-genetic, historical-system, historical-comparative; social-psychological, statistical, mathematical. Scientific novelty: the dissertation studies in a complex the process of labor migration of citizens of Ukraine to Russian Federation since the moment of getting independence of Ukraine on the basis of achievements of a domestic historiography and the analysis of new sources as the subject of special historical research; it is shown that citizens of Ukraine due to cultural, language and historical affinity with citizens of Russian Federation (RF), their general high professional skill are included into acceptable category of labor migrants for RF; it is determined that because of spread of illegal labor migration of citizens of Ukraine to RF the most part of them confronted with labor exploitation or even human traffic; the living and working conditions of labor migrants from Ukraine are worse than native citizens have; their payroll rate is also lower, that can be explained by migrant workers willingness to work in any conditions because of high (on Ukrainian measure) salary; it is highlighted that in actual economic situation Ukraine can’t reckon on return of labor migrants, but the most part of them would prefer to work in Ukraine in case of high payment for work. Practical value of research: the conclusions and recommendations of the dissertation can be used in the subsequent researches and lecture courses on a history of Russia, history of Ukraine, history of the international relations, and also practical experts of state bodies of authority on migration.
