Essay

Microfaunal characteristic of the limestone interlayers of three abovementioned horizons is given in detail. The most significant three levels in the evolution of the Donbass foraminifers and algae within the transitional Early - Middle Carboniferous time were recognized. By analysis of evolution of foraminifera and algae and their changes around the Serpukhovian-Bashkirian boundary the global and regional markers were recognized for the Mid-Carboniferous boundary in the Donbass. It was clarified the foraminiferal and algal zones that set earlier and to established the new zones by the appearance of index-species in evolutionary sequence. The paleoinvironmet was reconstruct.
