Dissertation is devoted to the study of molecular mechanisms of oxidative-nitrative stress and its role in the genesis and progression of diabetic complications (neuropathy, nephropathy and retinopathy). It was shown growth of nitrotyrosine content in the peripheral nerve, retina and kidney of rats under diabetes mellitus (DM). It was shown that under DM in the described tissues PARP is activeted. It was found that experimental diabetes characterized by increasing of content of nitrotyrosine-modified and poly-(ADP)-ribosylated proteins in the peripheral nervous system, retina and kidney.
