Essay

The thesis focuses on solving a scientific and practical problem of ride comfort improvement for a special-purpose vehicle which transports hazardous cargos. The work presents the diagram of the special-purpose vehicle construction which has a system of additional nonlinear cushioning level to implement the state of quasi-zero stiffness. The mathematical schemes of the special-purpose vehicle are developed. The results of theoretical study of the heave motions of the special-purpose vehicle with some cargo are presented. It is demonstrated that due to the implementation of the quasi-zero stiffness state the cargo vibration isolation takes place. On the base of the mathematical schemes the investigation on studding the system's performance and design parameters influence on ride comfort rating was carried out.
