Essay

The thesis is devoted to complex studying of the influence of high-dose ion implantation on the physical and magnetic properties of La-substituted iron-yttrium garnet Y2.95La0.05Fe5O12 films. A set of complementary techniques was used for the investigations: X-ray diffractometry, atomic force microscopy, magnetic force microscopy, numerical methods for solving direct and inverse problems of diffraction, mathematical modeling of ion implantation. It was found that the investigated epitaxial iron-yttrium garnet films have a complex layered structure. It was found that reducing of the magnetic losses observed after implantation is accompanied by a significant ordering of magnetic domains on the surface of films. There is a direct dependence of the magnetic properties on the dose of implanted atoms, which is indicated by the formation of surface layer with a well-defined magnetic structure.
