Essay

The thesis deals with an adaptation to the conditions of anthropogenically transformed carbonate wetlands of Ukraine in order to preserve the Schoenus ferrugineus L. relict species. There were founded an extensive amplitude of vicissitudes oscillation of the Schoenus ferrugineus L. coenopopulations morphometric traits, which indicates a high level of plant adjustment and adaptation to constantly changing environmental conditions, due to phenotypic and morphological characteristics of species. A mechanisms performance of adaptation and limiting environmental factors regarding the distribution of the Schoenus ferrugineus L. plants species in conditions of carbonate wetlands transformation in Western Ukraine has been evaluated. It is proved that a large number of correlations between the morphometric characteristics of the Schoenus ferrugineus L. plant species is determined by a coenopopulation the equilibrium and thriving vitalitet, and equilibrium and depression - within places where is now an anthropogenic influence or it was in the past. Different degrees of anthropogenic habitat transformation with the corresponding list of criteria involving both biomorphological and environmental coenotical adaptation changes of species populations to changing conditions have been established.
