The object of study - the process of ensuring of high-linearity analog - digital conversion in tracking ADC, built on inaccurate analog elements, by the use of the self-calibration; the purpose is to improve the accuracy of multi-bit tracking ADC, built on inaccurate analog elements, which is achieved by means of calibration of the conversion characteristic using inaccurate DAC on the basis of system of notation with weight redundancy; the methods of the theory of multi-bit ADC and DAC with weight redundancy, the theory of errors, as well as the theory of probability and mathematical statistics, computer modeling were used; theoretical results: the method of increasing of the linearity of the tracking ADC, built on inaccurate DAC with weight redundancy, based on self-calibration using a conversion table "working code - the digital equivalent" was the first time proposed, the method of linearization of the conversion characteristics of the tracking ADC, built on inaccurate DAC with weight redundancy, based on the use of marginal code combinations was also the first time proposed; for the first time was evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed methods of improving of the linearity of the multi-bit tracking ADC with weight redundancy on the base of the integrated criteria which accounts reducing of the conversion error and increase of the cost of the equipment; the further development of the static error models of the AD - and DA - conversion channel was given; practical results - developed a number of practical solutions that are protected by patents of Ukraine, in particular, structures and concepts of high-linearity self-calibrating multi-bit tracking ADC, built on the base of inaccurate DAC with weight redundancy; recommendations on the practical implementation of: the analog elements for high-linearity multi-bit tracking ADC, built on the basis of two-stroke structures, namely, amplifiers, buffers, etc.; digital units for self-calibrating multi-bit tracking ADC with weight redundancy; recommendations on: the use of the software for modeling of multi-bit high-linearity tracking ADC, the study of the metrological characteristics of converters, in particular self-calibrating tracking ADC with weight redundancy, with the help of specialized test bench equipment .
