Zykova V. Bioecological peculiarities of representatives from genus Syringa L. in the Crimea

Thesis is devoted to the researches on peculiarities of biology of introduced representatives from genus Syringa L. in the Crimea. Natural and cultural areals, taxonomical composition, history of introduction in culture and selection of Syringa L. have been analysed and presented specific and varietal composition of Syringa L. in landscape gardening in the Crimea have been analysed. Periods and amplitudes of phonological phases and their dependence from sums of active and effective temperatures, quality of pollen, productivity, seed germination, ability to vegetative propagation, drought-resistance have been studied. The peculiarities of growth and development in the Crimea in comparison with other regions of Ukraine and Russia, and also factors influenced on the length of blossom and vegetation periods and quantity of seeds in panicle have been determined. 100-mark scale of the complex evaluation of the S. vulgaris L. varieties including 13 signs has been worked out. the results of introduction have been summarized and perspectives of using of representatives from genus Syringa L. in landscape gardening in the conditions of the Crimea have been established. The assortment for landscape gardening has been recommended. The peculiarities of inheritance of ornamental characters have been selected.
