Essay

The dissertation is aimed to improve accuracy of continuous quality monitoring of magnetite ore. The dissertation gives a new solution of the important scientific and practical task, which is to provide reliable and real-time information about the quality of magnetite ore arriving on belt conveyors in an enrichment process. This information allows to operate the process efficiently, and thereby to improve the quality of ore concentrate. In the dissertation this problem was solved by establishment of correlation between magnetic and other physical properties of magnetite ore, by development of mathematical model of interaction of magnetite ore with an inductive primary transducer, which eliminates an influence of ore mass fluctuations in a measuring area; by development of autogenerator two-component magnetometric transducer; by research and considering hindering factors; by selecting physical parameters of the inductive primary transducer; by development of conveyor intelligent magnetometric sensors and multi-channel DZhM-K system of continuous quality monitoring of magnetite ore. The system is developed, produced, certified and implemented in 2007 at JSC "ArcelorMittal Krivoy Rog". Absolute error of magnetite iron content control does not exceed 0.8%.
