The object - the flood surface runoff formation in the step zone of Ukraine; the aim -analysis of the flood surface runoff formation aspects using geographic information systems and remote sensing data for rivers that flow within step zone and are influenced by anthropogenic activity; methods - mathematical statistic, the cartogram method, calibration, correction; spectral calculations, address reclassification, map algebra, spline and kriging interpolation, generalization, vectorization; results - determination of the anthropogenic factors effect on the flood surface runoff formation and distribution within Samara river watershed; the novelty - determination of the transformation rate of the flood surface runoff within Samara river watershed during warm season using remote sensing satellite data; the implementation state - in state of implementation; the area of using - water supply organizations, departments of the hydrology and meteorology survey of Ukraine, scientific institutions.
