The object - processes of formation of typological diversity and productivity of forest stands in Forest steppe in Kharkiv region; the aim - to identify features of typological diversity of forest stands in Forest steppe in Kharkiv region, and develop the standards of productivity dynamics for modal forest stands of main forest forming tree species and improvement of the regulatory framework concerning forest management on typological basis; methods - silviculture, forest taxation, biometric; novelty - the features of modern typological structure of forest stands in Kharkiv Forest steppe were found out; composition and productivity of indigenous and derivatives forest stands were found out by forest types, figure of forest types macrocomplex for Prydonetskij sector of Slobozanskij forest typology district was build; peculiarities of forest stands growth of main forest forming tree species in Kharkiv Forest steppe were identified, the results - developed a framework and methodological approaches to the evaluation of typological structure and productivity of forest stands of Forest steppe in Kharkiv region, normative reference data was grounded for the evaluation of dynamic of taxational indices of modal coppice oak and artificial pine stands according to forest types, sphere of application - forestry.
