Chorneі M. The perception and interpretation peculiarities of other ethnic group representatives' appearance.

The thesis is dedicated to the investigation of peculiarities in perception and recognition of the appearance in an ethnic aspect. The essence of the concept of "social perception", "cross-race effect" and "cross-ethnic effect" is revealed. Psychological concepts are analyzed and the approaches to the study of face as the main means of communication are singled out. The mechanism of cross-ethnic effect and its impact on the process of interethnic interaction is determined. The peculiarities of interethnic appearance perception ere found out. Factors that influence on the process of the psychological portrait's formation for their own and other ethnical groups' representatives are investigated: objective, individual-psychological and socio-psychological factors).
