Essay

The object of investigation: the indicator reactions in hardened gelatin gel involving immobilized acid-base and complexing reagents. Object of the research is to replenish the characteristics of hardened gelatin gel as reaction medium, to formulate on this base the principles of obtaining the new optical transparent indicator films with immobilized complexing reagents nitroso-R-salt (NRS), eriochromecyanine R (EChC), pyrocatechol violet (PCV), alizarin red S (AR) and nitchromazo; to evaluate the possibilities of using indicator films in spectrophotometric and visual-test analysis of the metals in aqueous solutions. Methods and apparatus: spectrophotometry, visual colorimetry, viscisimetry, atomic-emission spectroscopy, electronic microscopy, potentiometry, the methods of statistical treatment of the results of measurements. Theoretical and practical results: the optical transparent indicator films that allow to determinate Al(III), Со(II), Fe(III), Cu(II), Ni(II), Ba(II), Sr(II), SO42- by the solid-phase spectrophotometry ad visual testing in service-utility and natural water at maximum acceptable level and higher. The method of aluminum(III) determination with eriochromecyanine R immobilized in gelatin film was developed and defended by the patent of Ukraine on useful model. Novelty: the principles of immobilization of five complexing reagents (NRS, EChC, PCV, AR, nitchromazo) in hardened gelatin gel of commercial photo film were stated. The possibilities of using indicator films with immobilized NRS, EchC, PCV, AR and nitchromazo in spectrophotometric and visual-test analysis of Al(III), Со(II), Fe(III), Cu(II), Ni(II), Ba(II), Sr(II) і SO42- in drinking and natural water were evaluated. The degree of implementation: the method of solid-phase spectrophotometric determination of the sum of Ba(II) and Sr(II) in underground passing-bedded water using nitchromazo-films was implemented in scientific-research laboratory of ecological investigations of UkrSIIgas (Kharkov). Sphere of application: the educational process, the research scientific work.
