The thesis is about following scientific problem experimental and theoretical research heat transfer for defrosting of bulk cargoes in railway gondola cars.The literature review for friability recovery of frozen bulk cargoes in railway gondola cars is performed. The mechanical and heat recovery friability methods of frozen bulk cargoes in railway gondola cars are described and compared. The modern theory of heat conduction for heterogeneous structures is reviewed. Experimental study for formation dynamics of melting layer for "membranous" defrost of the bulk cargoes case is conducted. The experimental data according temperature fields for bulk cargo defrosting (high-silica sand) with different moisture content are obtained.
