The dissertation investigates the British-Soviet relations during the premiership of Neville Chamberlain (1937-1940). Based on the attracting of the new documents in scientific use, detailed studied the characteristics of relations of London and Moscow was held. This scientific work analyzed the evolution and nature of contacts in the 30-s. Found a place that British diplomacy averted in its foreign policy to the USSR and the Kremlin's attitude to dialogue with the United Kingdom. Defined the nature of the contacts, were found factors that did not contribute to the normal co-operation, bringing sides have been unable to develop a common approach in response to international events.
