Essay

The work provides the main results of the research of the structural and functional properties of 1-, 7-, 12-, 17- and 22-days’ lamb kidneys. It was proved that the lambs’ kidneys and their intraorgan blood vessels have different morphology on all levels of structural organization. Morphometric parameters of length, width, thickness and radius are growing uniformly and reach their maximum in 22-days’ lambs. Lamb kidney nephrons are classified in 5 types: cortical nephrons, midcortical, juxtamedullary, provisional subcapsular cortical renal corpuscles and provisional juxtamedullary renal corpuscles located in conjunctive tissue. In field of vision in caseof 1-day lambs there are: 97,75±3,64 renal corpuscles, where 20,00±1,35 (20,71 %) juxtamedullary, 26,25±1,44 (26,86 %) cortical (including subcapsular provisional cortical renalcorpuscles 1,75±0,10 – 1,79 %), 48,75±2,50 (49,87 %) midcortical and 0,75±0,25 (0,77 %) provisional located in stroma. When the lambs grow on the backgroundof decreasing of the renal corpuscles in the field of vision till lambs’ age of 22 days the renal corpuscles decrease: cortical – by 29,52 %, midcortical – by 12,31 % and provisional by 1,25 %, while the juxtamedullary are increasing by 33,33 %. Intraorgan arteries and veins of the 1-day lambs kidneys are muscular type. The structure of the walls and architectonics of the intraorgan arteries and veins of 7–22-days’ lambs do not change, but their parameters increase. Diameter of the interlobar arteries of kidneys up to the ageof 22 days increases by 53,12 %, arc – на 58,29 % and interlobular – by 61,03 %, and the wall thickness by 44,47 %, 46,54 and 48,02 % correspondingly. The vessels of the lamb kidney microvasculature bed are formed by two networks: glomerular and peritubular, when the lamb grows the parameters increase.
