Functioning of serotonin biosynthesis pathway under conditions of chronic alcohol intoxication has been investigated. Carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in blood of rats serum under conditions of chronic alcohol intoxication has been investigated and analized. Changes of basic serum biochemical parameters in rats under conditions of chronic alcohol intoxication, compared with those in control, have been found. The disruption of the serotonin biosynthesis pathway under conditions of chronic alcohol intoxication has been shown. Basic indicators of the prediabetes occurrence on chronic alcohol intoxication have been investigated. Reducing of the glucose absorption rate, which may indicate the development of insulin resistance, a risk factor at type 2 diabetes, has been found.
