Essay

In the thesis a theoretical model of relaxation in superfluid 3He - 4He mixtures that simultaneously takes into account the second sound and the processes of diffusion, thermal diffusion and thermal conductivity is developed. The conditions under which the main contribution to the heat and mass transfer gives either sound or dissipative mode are determined. First we have described the evolution of temperature and concentration with the switched on heat flow taking into account acoustic and dissipative mode. Good agreement with the experiment is obtained and new experiments are proposed.
