Essay

Palladium (II) iminodiacetate and hydroxyethyliminodiacetate complexes were synthesized from palladium chloride. The laws governing the distribution of ionic palladium (II) species as a function of ligand equilibrium concentration and solution pH have been established. The kinetics and energetic parameters of palladium (II) electroreduction from iminodiacetate and hydroxyethyliminodiacetate electrolytes have been studied, the kinetic parameters of the process have been determined, the mechanism of palladium (II) electroreduction from solutions under investigation has been established. A method for the experimental determination of the total reorganization energy of the system from E-j curves in "Marcus" coordinates is proposed.
