Essay

Object: experimental model of endoprosthesis replacement of knee joint; modular endoprosthesis in the treatment of children with bones tumors around knee joint. Objective: experiment on animals to investigate the peculiarities of growth limb after endoprosthesis replacement technology justify the use of a spacer - endoprosthesis and to conduct its clinical trials. Methods: The clinical, radiographic , including computed tomography, pathohistomorphology, experimental (radiometric , morphometric , histologic), statistics. For the first time in an experimental animal studies demonstrated that the growth of the limb under conditions of full load depends on the type of substitution of articular defects of the knee joint. In animals , who underwent knee replacement unipolar endoprosthesis with preserved zone of growth grew faster than the same segment intact limbs. The technology first staged surgical treatment of children with bones tumors around knee joint, which is based on the use of a spacer - endoprosthesis . Created and implemented an experimental practice model to study the influence knee replacement on the growth of the limb (patent number 39387 Ukraine). Developed an experimental model will extend and deepen the research towards the study of the problem of growth of the operated limb. Proposed for clinical use technology staged surgical treatment of children with bones tumors around knee joint thereby improving outcomes through receiving functions of the axial load in the near term limb after removal of the tumor , reducing shortening of limbs in the postoperative period, staging surgery , which allows you to restore function knee. The research results implemented in practice helping children with bones tumors around knee joint in the clinic "Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine", "Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital trauma " "Zaporizhzhya regional Clinical Hospital " Zaporizhzhya Regional Council , the learning process relevant departments of the Kharkiv medical Academy of Postgraduate education, "Lugansk State Medical University", experimental and clinical practice in the "Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedics National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine".
