Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the experimental investigation of adiabatic boiling of superheated water stream and using the concerned process for fine-dispersed spraying. Hydrodynamic studies had been conducted, on the basis of which the influence of the initial temperature and pressure on the appearance and angle of spray jet, consumables characteristics of the nozzle, sizes of droplets formed during the drops' boiling process have been determined. The influence of the length and diameter of the nozzle on its consumables characteristics and behavior of water stream after leaving the nozzle have been investigated. The mean stages of the superheated water stream destruction starting from the boiling process in the nozzle have been considered and analyzed. The mechanism of bubble structure transformation to steam-and-drops has been explained. The influence of the air dissolved in water on the process of stream boiling has been investigated. The experimental investigation of the evaporation of the high-temperature water droplets in the air stream has been performed. The mathematical model of non-stationary evaporation of water droplets in the air stream has been developed for the investigation of the process of the air cooling with overheated water. The adequacy of the model has been confirmed with experimental data. On the basis of the conducted researches the principal scheme of the gas and steam turbine system with cooling of cyclic air with overheated water has been developed and the main parameters have been analyzed.
