Gonchar G. Gender peculiarities of the course, pathogenesis and treatment efficacy of rheumatoid arthritis

Subject of research - the clinical course, pathogenesis and treatment efficacy of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) for men and women; research objective - to specify peculiarities of clinical course, pathogenesis and treatment efficacy of RA for men and women; methods - clinical, radiographic, ultrasonic, electrophysiological, immuno-biochemical, immunoenzymometric, atomic-emissive- and atomic absorption spectrometry, statistical; novelty and results -for the first time ever the comprehensive survey has proved the sexual dimorphism of the osteoarticular and systemic peculiarities of RA course separately for men and women, gender peculiarities of osteoporosis, changes in inflammatory proteins, cytokine integral index, the viscoelastic chracteristics of blood, osteoassociated hormones, alkaline phosphatase, and chemical elements in the pathogenesis of the disease architectonics have been discovered, sexual characteristics of overall effectiveness of treatment and individual therapies have been analysed, whereunder the criteria are highlighted, allowing to evaluate the nature of the disease course, to predict it, and the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions for men and women, the most appropriate RA treatment modalities, depending on the sexual dimorphism of the pathological process have been developed; the results have been put into practice in the rheumatology department of the Donetsk regional clinical territorial medical association, therapeutic clinics of State Institution "Institute of Emergency and Reconstructive Surgery named after V.K. Gusak NAMS of Ukraine, Donetsk", Donetsk National Medical University named after M. Gorkyi, in hospitals of Kryvyi Rih, Luhansk, Slovyansk, as well as in the educational process of Donetsk, Kharkiv, Vinnitsa National Medical Universities; field of use - theranostic process of rheumatologic and therapeutic departments, scientific and pedagogical processes of the academic departments of therapeutic profile of medical educational establishments.
