Essay

Object: princely ancestral traditions in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Objective: studying the princely origin and its role in the creation, transfer and transformation of princely tribal traditions in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania by the example of the genera Sangushko, Zbarazhsky, Vishnevetsky, Voronetsky and Poritsky. Methods: critical, typological, historical genetic, systematic, comparative, personal identification; environment analysis of personality; verification of family tradition. Results: on the first time complex studied bright and sharp period during the genealogical debates on the origin princely families Sangushko, Zbarazhsky, Vishnevetsky, Voronetsky, Poritsky, known as "genealogical war", discussed "genealogical war" as a model for the study of the origin of princely families. Scope of application: in the process of writing papers on the history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the late medieval and early modern history of Ukraine, Poland, Belarus, Lithuania, in studies of historical anthropology and the history of elites (for example, princely families) on the territory of Central and Eastern Europe, in processing of materials of manuscript archives and libraries, and in the preparation of standard courses and special courses in higher education establishments.
