Object of investigation is process of manage work space of diamond grinding wheel by using free abrasive dressing in machining of technical ceramics. Aim of research is providing the cutting ability of diamond grinding wheel in machining of technical ceramics by using free abrasive dressing. Theoretical studies based on the fundamental principles of the theories of cutting, friction and wear of materials, strength of materials, manufacturing engineering, physics, mathematical analysis, probability theory and mathematical modeling. Experiments were conducted using the free abrasive dressing device; the profile of the grinding wheel recording device, devices for measuring linear wear rate and cutting ability range, dynamometric table on the strain gages. Developed a mathematical model of wear of the grinding wheel in free abrasive dressing, increase of stability of diamond grain in the bundle after the free abrasive dressing proved, selected rational parameters of free abrasive dressing on the working surface of the grinding wheel. Designed and developed installation for grinding wheel dressing, given recommendations to free abrasive dressing in grinding of technical ceramics, conducted implementation on the enterprises of the region.
