Zorin M. Puncture laser microdiscectomy in treatment of lumbar spine discogeniс neurocompressive syndrome

The thesis is devoted to topical issues of puncture laser mikrodiscectomy (PLM) in treatment of 180 patients with lumbar spine discogenic neurocompressive syndrome (DNCS), been treated in a Center "Endoscopic neurosurgery" in Dnepropetrovsk in a period from 2006 to 2010. The optimal scheme of examination of patients with DNCS was defined: spondylography with functional loads, spiral CT and MRI. Relative indications for PLM performing were substantiated and expanded it's effectiveness was determined depending on the patient's age, slipped disk size and location. The effect of PLM on vertebral-motor segment stability was defined. CT-assisted operations were performed. The immediate and long-term outcomes of PLM in patients with lumbar spine DNCS were studied. Unsatisfactory results of PLM in the nearest and long-term periods were analysed.
