Essay

This dissertation is devoted to structural, semantic and sociofunctional study of the USA English student slang. The study revealed that the lexical-semantic macrosystem of Modern English is mainly enriched through internal resources, namely, the USA English student slang. The research focuses on the basic features and characteristics of the USA English student slang as well as American students' linguistic world-image. The ways of slang formation and its system organization are being analysed. The functioning of the American student slang is studied on the basis of social life, fiction.
