Martinovich V. Information potential as a priority resource for economic and social development of the region

The object of study: the process of socio-economical development of the region. The aim of study: the grounding of theoretical and methodological positions; the development of a number of practical recommendations for the formation of complex scientific knowledge with definition of informational potential of the region as a priority resource for economic and social development. Methods of study: systematization; method of theoretical generalization; comparative analysis; graphic methods; Foresight methods. The practical significance of results lies in the development of methodological provisions with the formation of informational potential assessment system through adapting and usage of the Foresight methods and technologies. Scientific novelty of results lies in fact that it was the first time when the conceptual approaches to improvement of processes of the regional informational potential development for identification of variants of such regional informational potential development. Were implemented: methodological approaches and key provisions on assessment of informational potential of the region taking into account the priorities of social and economic development of the area; the definition of scientific principles and categorical apparatus in the system of research of informational potential of the region; the conceptual approaches to the regulation of social and economic development of informational potential of the region. Further development have got: identification of general characteristics, features and prospects of informational potential development in Ukraine and Donetsk region.
