Essay

The thesis is devoted to study of features of radionuclides intake to plant products of Polissya private households under different conditions of water supply in the late phase of the Chernobyl disaster. The complex radioecological research of agroecosystems private households, which are located in the amplified zone of enhanced radioecological control, allowed us to estimate the effect of irrigation water and the biological characteristics of crop plants on the radionuclides accumulation. The information that the specific activity of 137Cs and 90Sr in the commodity portion of vegetable products below acceptable levels (DR-2006) was confirmed. While watering plants both by surface and underground water, specific activity of 137Cs and 40K in plants was reduced. The transfer coefficients of 137Cs and 40K in crop plants grown under different conditions of water supply in the contaminated soils Polissya were determined for the first time. Analysis of variance allowed us to estimate the influence of ecological factors on radionuclides accumulation in plant products in private households. The biological characteristics of plants were influenced by 99.5%. Contribution of irrigation water didn't exceed 0.3%. Expected additional internal exposure dose of the rural population due to consumption of plant production of own production was calculated.
