The dissertation is devoted to the study of rare species of vascular plants of the mountain forest of the Crimean Nature Reserve (CNR). An inventory of the flora of the reserve was made. Species composition comprising 1215 species and subspecies of vascular plants was established and 66 new taxa were identified. It was found that the rare flora of the CNR included 242 species and subspecies from the Red Lists of the national, regional, European and the Global levels. More than 130 new localities of rare plants were identified and GIS distribution maps of the rarest species of the CNR, identified through categories and criteria of the IUCN Red List, composed. The specificity of the flora of the CNR as a whole and of its rarity was identified on the basis of the taxonomic analysis, as well as chorological, biomorphological, environmental and sozological structure. The study of the ontogeny and population structure of the model rare species (Allium siculum subsp. dioscoridis, Seseli lehmannii, Solenanthus biebersteinii) for the first time described the life cycle of these plants and the current status of species, and determined the degree of threat to their populations. Based on the results of the analysis we assessed the sozological significance of the territory of the CNR and developed environmental guidelines.
