Essay

The classification of secondary function questions based on the communicative and pragmatic principle is proposed.. The study of the modifiers of the illocutionary force of the speech acts of secondary function questions reveals the tonality of intimate conversation. To define the role of secondary function questions in intimate conversation the static and the dynamic frames have been constructed. It has been shown that secondary function questions perform key roles in speech genres of intimate conversation.
