Essay

Deals with studying of features of the spatial-temporal distributing and behavior of young fishes in the littoral area of freshwater lentic ecosystem - water storage reservoirs and ponds. Improved method on the use of plastic "AST" traps for passive catch for the study of the spatial-temporal distribution of young fishes on shallows of reservoirs. In experimental terms the influence of basic factors of environment (illumination, presence of vegetation and currents, depth) on distributing and conduct of young of pelagian (Xiphophorus helleri Heckel, Poecilia reticulata Peters) and benthic (Cyprinus carpio L., Corydoras paleatus Jenyns) fishes were investigated. It is found out eco-faunistical and spatial-temporal (seasonal and daily) distribution of young fishes in a littoral area of Kaniv (14 stations - 2006-2008) and Kiev (14 stations - 2009-2010) reservoirs. Daily activity and features of moving of young fishes of different ecological groups is investigated in overgrown and not overgrown biotops on shallows of these reservoirs. Analyzed features of daily behavior of Cyprinidae larvae in growing up ponds and the new method of control after efficiency of growing up of Cyprinidae larvae is offered to use in fish-farming ponds by the "AST" traps.
