Essay

This paper is devoted to the numerical analysis of the propagation of nonlinear long waves such as tsunamis over the continental slope and shelf followed by run-up on the beach. Special attention is given to the effect of the geometrical parameters of basin, the shape and number of the incident waves, as well as the spatial-temporal characteristics of the tsunami source on the properties of the propagation and run-up on the beach of long waves. Some results can be used to predict tsunamis in the Black Sea.
