Dissertation is pointed at experimental and theoretical substantiation of technology of secondary metallurgy of high quality commercial silumins melt by unipolar electric current with the aim to neutralize a harmful effect of iron in alloys, which are melted out from metal scrap and waste, improvement of their mechanical properties. On the basis of revealed regularities of structure forming, change of phase composition, and morphology of iron-containing phases technological behaviours of liquid phase treatment of silumins by unipolar pulse electric current were developed. It made possible to increase strength and ductility of commercial secondary alloys to the level of alloys, which are melted out from the primary raw material. Results of the dissertation received practical approval under condition of industrial production with positive effect, and were also used in training process of National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine.
