Essay

Object: alloys of Fe-B-C. The purpose: determination of physical laws of phase transitions and thermodynamic properties of phases in alloys of Fe-B-C. Methods: metallographic analysis, X-ray, local microanalysis, spectral layers analysis, differential thermal, micro-durometric, physical and chemical analysis, scanning electron microscopy. Results: the structure is investigated and the properties of solid solutions based on alpha-iron doped with boron are studied. For the first time it is shown that the position of penetration-substitution of boron in the solid solution based on alpha-iron in alloys of Fe-B-C depends on the content of boron in the alloy. For the first time is shown that in alloys of Fe-B, alloyed by carbon, phase transformation at 1425 K is associated with the formation of Fe3(CB). For the first time is determined, that the previous plastic deformation changes the mechanism of the diffusion of boron in solid solution based on gamma-iron at saturation of alloy's surface with an average content of carbon. Field of application: solid state physics, physics of phase transitions, metallophysics
