Essay

Thesis deals with autologous stem mesenchymal cells (ASMC) application at ischemic stroke modeling. ASMC effects have been studied in 252 male rats (Wistar) aged 3 months weighting 160-175 g with modeled ischemic stroke. Ischemic stroke was modeled at functioning bloodstream by introducing emulsion of barium sulfate (II) into the common carotid artery. Results of intravenous, suboccipital, and intracranial ASMC introduction on 7th, 14th, 17th, 21st, 28th day. On the 3rd day of the experiment intracranial and suboccipital ASMC introduction was most effective, it provided cells delivery directly to the damaged zone of the brain cortex bypassing blood-brain barrier, and promoted significant acceleration of recovery.ASMC administration also was effective, but in other terms (7-14 days of the experiment). ASMC introducing using different ways didn't result to their differentiation into neurons. The results were estimated using complex of morphological methods and Morris water navigation tasks.
