Utilization of jet-reactive pneumatic packages as recovery units for reduction systems is suggested and scientifically grounded in this thesis work. Utilization of jet-reactive pneumatic packages facilitates electric power generation and a solution to energy saving problems. A theory and a simulation model of operation of a jet-reactive type expansion machine (as a pneumatic package actuating device) has been developed by considering gas compressibility factor that made it possible to calculate its parameters and characteristics more precisely. It is found that a main geometrical ratio which defines expansion machine operational efficiency is the ratio of feed nozzle critical bore section to thrust nozzle critical bore section. Based on the conducted physical and simulation studies a stability region of the pneumatic package has been fixed without shock stall that is with the maximum efficiency. The tried and true simulation study procedure of gas flow inside the pneumatic package by means of the software has a practical use as it allows to shorten time for studies and increase efficiency.
