Adamenko S. Pinus nigra Arn. on the Right-Bank Forest Steppe eco-zone of Ukraine (seasonal growth and development, аutecology, perspectives of the introduction, ornamentality).

Thesis is devoted to the study of biological and ecological peculiarities of P. nigra introduced on the Right-Bank Forest Steppe eco-zone of Ukraine. The seasonal development and the peculiarities of vegetative growth were investigated. It is established that rhythms of growth and development of the species are consistent with the weather and climate of the region. The relation of soil fertility was investigated. Also were made research of drought and frost resistance, light sensitivity and soil acidity. The means of seed and vegetative propagation (including microclonal propagation) were analyzed. Based on the experimental investigations, we defined the better mean of propagation - by seed. The perspectives of the introduction and acclimatization of P. nigra on the Right-Bank Forest Steppe eco-zone of Ukraine were estimated. Also the ornamentality of the species was established and the possibility of it usage in green construction was summarized.
