Essay

It has been found that the use of pulsed mode of electrodeposition films and addition of modifying agents (dyes, some compounds with a sulfo group or an electrochromic oxide) affect the efficiency of electrochromic processes owing to change in the nanostructure, phase and chemical composition of films. The practical application of cathodically deposited of WO3, Ni(OH)2 and Nb2O5 films allowed electrochromic materials with a speed of response 2-5 s and efficiency of up to 60 сm2C-1 to be obtained, which have promise in the creation of high-efficiency displays.
