Essay

The thesis is devoted to the analysis of structure formation in aluminum alloys AMg5, D16 and 2024-T3 during plastic deformation under impulse load, its influence on the mechanical properties, and development of the method for determination of the critical state in the material during plastic deformation. The effect of loading conditions on the structure and properties of aluminum alloys was experimentally investigated. Possibility of premature destruction of the specimens made of multi-phase aluminum alloys D16 and 2024-T3 under the influence of non-stationary mechanical field was shown. The structural investigations showed that the self-organization structure under the sudden change of loading is reduced to formation of self-similar band structures, in which the hydrodynamic flow of a substance occurs, which promotes increase of plasticity and softening of the material under sudden increment of loading. The possible usage of single-crystal sensors for deformation damage estimation under static and dynamic loading is considered.
