The thesis is devoted to the torque transmission improvement in the vehicle drives due to the keyed joints by reducing their rigidity. The paper presents the results of theoretical and experimental studies of the proposed connections with semirigid and resilient keys regarding the actual work environment. The possibility of a positive effect of patented semirigid and resilient keys in the joints of shafts with hubs of various elements scientifically substantiated. A new keyed joints classification is suggested, which gives detailed information on the current designs of keys and their work.
