Essay

This dissertation is the first complex research of fauna and ecology of spiders in north-western Black Sea region. It was determined, that fauna of spiders in north-western Black Sea region consists of 249 species from 28 families. 138 species of spiders were founded in this region for the first time. The detailed analysis of areographic structure of spiders fauna in the investigated region was provided. It was determined that it is Palearctic spiders which dominate in agrocenoses, floodplain meadows, woods and nearwater vegetation. The cosmopolitan species are mainly founded in human buildings. In the parks European species dominate. The Holarctic species have been founded in all biotopes equally, but not in parks and human buildings at all. In the research the peculiarities of biotopic distribution of spiders were presented. Both daily and seasonal activity of spiders and influence of temperature on it were studied. It was determined that the ecological living conditions are mainly the reason not only for the variability of morphometric characteristics of female spiders L. triangularis (there is significant reduction of its population from the southwest to the northwest), but also for diagnostic characteristics in Dniester steppe subregion, compared to Danube region. In more contrast climate conditions in Dniester steppe subregion the selection is directed to support the population of spiders with weaker correlative links, both at the level of individuals (ICI), and community (ECV).
