Dissertation is devoted to a problem of hidden faults for digital components (DC) of safety-related instrumentation and control systems (ICS) that operate the objects with raised risk in transport, energy, space industry. The problem is connected with the accumulation of hidden faults in the circuit of the DC during a normal mode, and in case of transition into an emergency mode these faults reduce the fault tolerance of the DC and functional safety both ICS and control object.
