Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solution of actual scientific and applied task of external meniscus method improving for surface properties control at the interface. The analysis of the known methods of surfactant solutions surface properties control by axisymmetric meniscus shape analysis and the technical implementations was done. The external meniscus features were investigated using of meniscus modeling and the recommendations for research were given. The meniscus curvature and shape transformation depending on surface tension, contact angle of investigated liquid and immersed rod radius are researched. The external meniscus method for surface tension control with regression method of determining coordinates of the meniscus contour was improved. The methods of digital image processing and step-by-step method of meniscus contour definition were proposed. The instrument for surface tension and contact angle control of liquids and aqueous surfactant solutions by the external meniscus method was developed. The metrological analysis of improved method and developed instrument for surfactant solutions surface tension control by the external meniscus method and laboratory testing of instrument by surface tension and contact angle control of liquids and aqueous surfactant solutions of different concentrations were done.
