Object of research - the process of honing holes with intermittent surfaces and precision holes with a diameter of less than 35 mm. The aim of the thesis is to improve the efficiency of the machining holes with broken surfaces and precision holes with a diameter of less than 35 mm, by improving the functional characteristics of honing head and machine tools. Methods of study theoretical studies were based on the main provisions of the theory of metal cutting, mechanical engineering, cutting tool, the theory of mechanisms and machines, strength of materials and theory of automatic control of machining processes, and experimental studies conducted in laboratory and industrial conditions by mathematical design of experiments. Thesis is devoted to the problem of increasing the efficiency of honing holes through operational improvements hone. First created the design of spiral spring hone with changing the geometric shape of the cutting surface for the preliminary and final passage. The process of deformation spiral spring hone in light of current cutting forces and the magnitude of the applied force. The optimal design of spiral spring hone that provides balance the stresses and strains. Performed experimental studies of functional parameters honing process, namely the correction of geometric variations in process, ensure dimensional accuracy using spiral spring hone. According to the research generated estimates for the hone and machine control systems for different radial dimension of design schemes.
