Fed'ko R. Ecological and biological features of the woody plants with medicinal properties.

The thesis presents the features of the propagation of the woody plants with medicinal properties in the natural plant communities in the Left Bank of the Dnieper, which comprises 66 aboriginal and 10 adventive species belonging to 43 genera, 26 families, 21 order, 3 classes, 2 divisions. The history of the formation of 12 Parks is reflected, the experience of the introduction of the woody medicinal plants in the conditions of the survey area is analyzed. The taxonomic composition of the medical dendroflora of the parks of the region, which 221 comprise species is defined. The systematical, biomorphological, environmental analysis is carried out and the level of the adaptation of species of the different geographical origin is evaluated. It was identified trend in the changes in weather conditions, which in the term of the Left Bank of the Dnieper corresponds to the areas of insufficient or unstable humidity (steppe, dry steppe). The dependence of ecological and biological features of the woody plants from environmental conditions was analyzed. The negative and positive reactions of the woody native and introduced species were defined. The species which exhibit high invasive abilities and the ability to the naturalization were selected. The floristic regions of the perspective woody plants were installed. The plants and landscape optimization of 3 model objects, among which one has received the status of the local area importance. The ways to save and prospects of the Park's optimization, as the centers of medical dendroflora are outlined.
