Object - spread and development of foci of stem pests in pine stands, damaged by different causes in the Left-bank Forest Steppe; Aim - reveal the peculiarities of stem pests influence on the growth and condition of pine stands, weakened by ground fires, pests and diseases. as well as prediction of probability of tree colonization by stem pests and tree mortality; methods - silvicultural, taxation, entomological, statistical; novelty - peculiarities of tree colonization by stem pests are revealed, changes of taxation indices for ten years and dynamics of sanitary condition of pine stands was evaluated; content of protein and phenolic compounds in pine shoots was assessed; intensity of maturating feeding and population indices of pine shoot beetles were estimated; algorhythms for prediction of tree colonization by stem pests and their injuriousness in weakened stands were developed; results - algorhythms for evaluation of threat of tree colonization be stem pests, change of sanitary condition and mortality of trees was developed to determine the necessity of sanitary measures; methods of trap trees location in the stand were improved; contents of phenolic copmpounds and protein in pine shoots was evaluated; sphere of application - forestry.
