Essay

The object is the processes of structure formation and properties of Pb-Ca-Sn alloys. The aim is the development of physical ideas about the kinetics and mechanisms of alloys structure formation and their relationship with properties. The methods of investigations are experimental methods for investigation of structure and physico-chemical properties of alloys, numerical calculations of the mass crystallization kinetics. In the work is identified the regularities of alloys structure formation during crystallization at different temperature conditions with simultaneous action of alternative electric current and the possibility of alloys hardening under these conditions. Demonstrated, that the production of grid strips by quenching from the liquid state allows to achieve structure stability in isothermal conditions and improved physico-chemical properties compared to rolled industrial strips. Developed the well-known method for numerical solution of mass crystallization problem with accounting of basic thermodynamic factors, influencing the process of structure formation in the real conditions. Also proposed the method of predicting the ultimate strength of alloys. Scope - battery manufacturing, metallurgy, educational process.
