Object of the research: process of the region development through the increase of its recreational potential. Purpose: elaboration of theoretical, methodical principles and practical recommendations which deal with the questions of development of economics of the region through the increase of its recreational potential. Methods: systematical analysis, logical generalization, synthesis, comparison, induction, deduction, economics and statistics, strategic analysis, process, graphic and cartographic. Results: conceptual approach to the development of recreational potential of the region was elaborated; principles of the regional policy forming of the recreational potential development, types of intercommunications between territorial and branch groups of stakeholders in the region, conception and terminological apparatus, in particular essence of the concept of "recreational potential of the region", forms of collaboration between territorial and branch groups of stakeholders were improved; methodical approach which deals with the analysis and estimation of level for the development of recreational potential of the region, types of strategies of the recreational potential development, territorial and branch approach to development of recreational potential of the region, complex of marketing instruments for development of recreational potential of the region will be developed in future.
