This dissertation focuses on Complex Complementation in Early New English and establishes its structural and functional peculiarities. The emergence of the subject in the structure of VOSI construction is analyzed. The operation Subject-to-Object Raising (SOR) is mentioned in the paper. The paper investigates the distribution of the main verb of the finite / non-finite clause according to the transitivity / intransitivity of its stem. It is established that most of the verbs are transitive and are divided into monotransitive, ditransitive and complex transitive. Two main types of the sentences with VOSI construction in Early New English, according to information location mentioned in it, are prospective and retrospective. The research analysis has allowed distinguishing the main functional-syntactic synonyms of the VOSI construction in Early New English: VOSING construction, Complement Clause and Relative Clause.
